Man, where do I start? With an introduction, I guess?

Hey, I'm Megan. I'm a pacific northwest girly living the green state of Oregon. I'm a mother, sister, daughter, friend, ex-wife, weird human, and many other things. (Oof this is starting to sound like a dating profile.)

Maybe it's my heart, my soul, my zodiac, or societal training; But I always wanted to grow up to be a wife and mother; To have a family of my own. And eventaully I had that, for 10 YEARS. But it all came crashing down a couple years ago in the summer of 2024. Since then I've been rebuilding a little at a time. Learning so much about myself, about my son, and about life.

I will spare you the "nitty-gritty". I won't be baring all of the details of everything on here as I don't believe in airing my 'dirty laundry' online. HOWEVER I will take you through my grieving process and my eventual healing; as I know I'm not alone.

So gather internet babies, follow me down the rabbit hole that is my life.

A LITTLE CRASH COURSE.

Long before I was a busy, chaotic divorcee and mother I was.. a child. (DUN DUN DUN.)

I grew up in the late 90s/early 2000s in the suburbs of Eugene, OR. My father, mother, sister, brother, and I resided in a beautiful 2-story house right on the outskirts of town. Our house was big, and open. We had an "Open-door" policy with most of the neighbor kids in the area. We were a very tight-nit family in the beginning. We shared family dinner nearly every night at the kitchen table. We went to church on Sundays. We hosted and attended many potlucks. And celebrated all the major holidays with friends and family in the most traditional way. We were a very wholesome, loving American family. It wasn't until the loss of my sister through cancer and my parent's divorce that life really started to take a turn. Overall my childhood was very enjoyable despite the illness and separation in our house. Teenage years are a completely different story.

As a little girl some of my favorite things were riding my bike up and down our cul-de-sac, walking our dog Gypsy, playing on the trampoline in our backyard,  Finding garter snakes in ditch by our house, phoning my friends with the corded wall phone, creating new MySpace pages, and crushing on local boys.
