Special Thanks

There are so many peeps I want to thank in my healing journey. You saw the pretty moments, the healing moments, but you also saw the ugly moments; the moments when I was spinning out and just totally lost. And you still stuck around. I am SO thankful for that, I am so thankful for you.

Thank you to my close friends T & S. Sometimes I think I was meant to work that business girl job just so I could meet you. I love you both so dearly, even if we don’t get to see each other much anymore (grown-up life); But I will always treasure your hugs, our “goth girl coffees”, our snacking, our movie days, etc. You both are such beautiful, dark lovelies. My little spooky treasures.

Thank you to my mother and brother. You have been some of the biggest contributors! You have stepped in to relieve me of tantrum duty when I was losing it. You kicked my butt into place a few times when I was throwing my own tantrums. And held me on the nights when the tears would just not stop. I can never say enough how thankful I am for you. But I will always try. I love you guys.

Thank you K, you were my first real boyfriend after my divorce. You made me feel lovable and special. Our chemistry was so good! I really enjoy getting to know you and meeting your kiddos. I still think about you sometimes and hope you are well. You are such a sweet and kind person.

Thank you to other people I dated. You taught me new things about myself, the world, others, life; I experienced the good and bad with you. You helped mold more realistic expectations of what love and authentic caring are. Even if we don’t talk anymore I am so thankful for you. Good luck! (Well except for you A, you’re awful. You know what you did.)

Lastly, but definitely not least! My therapist L, you are a gem. You’ve been one of the strongest influences in my journey. I’ve really enjoyed doing “Parts work” and diving into my wounds with you. We’ve worked through a lot of emotions together. You’ve helped recognize my triggers. And we’ve developed strategies and plans for my coming future. You’ve helped me move mountains. I am forever thankful for you, you mental health angel.

"Keep Moving Forward"

A slow and gentle peace drifted over me the other day; the kind that feels like sunshine on your skin or a warm cup of coffee in your hands first thing in the morning. Tears welled up in my eyes when

Post-fallout

Survival mode is such a MIND F*CK. Everything is going groovy, or maybe a little wavy-gravy, and then life hoodoo-voodoos some shit your way. Like WHY??? And THEN, you have to push through and put you

Boundaries

Ah yes, boundaries. A necessary hurt. Boundaries are an area I’ve always struggled with. And while I know they protect myself and others, that doesn’t mean they don’t hurt. (whatever side you’re on)
